DANCING PLUS
ESTABLISHED 2000
Pointe
Pointe shoes allow a dancer to rise en pointe and balance on the tips of her toes. This skill requires considerable strength and technique, which comes from years of dedication and training. Dancing en pointe is the most difficult, but most beautiful of all the dance forms. Instruction focuses on proper technique for pointe work with an emphasis on injury prevention. When an dancer first begins on pointe, priority is to strengthen their bodies with barre work and then later move to center work when they strong in both body and technique. These classes are by audition only, please see a Dancing Plus Instructor for details.
