Brandi

Brandi Green has been a dance educator, performer and choreographer for over 15 years. After graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Kansas, where she was President of and performed for The University Dance Company she also toured professionally with the modern dance company Cohen/Suzeau. Brandi is a founding member of the Bowery Dancers, a professional dance collective dedicated to making dance performances accessible to children in remote areas of the Midwest. Her performance experience includes dancing with the Joffrey Ballet II in Starlight Theater's production of Cinderella, The Worlds Fair in Spain, shows in England and France, leading dance roles in musicals including Guys & Dolls, Barnum, Dames at Sea, The King and I, Funny Lady, Wizard of Oz, Sweet Charity and many more. Brandi has danced for choreographers from The Joffrey Ballet, The Kansas City Ballet, the Martha Graham School, and the Cunningham School. She has also performed in professional reconstructions of famous traditional modern dances by choreographer Jose Limon.
As a student in the dance department at KU, Brandi focused on how dance as an art form, can positively affect both the young and old, completing practicums in Movement for Older Adults, Movement Efficiency for Athletes, and developing a program to teach dance to deaf children at the Kansas School for the Deaf and in elementary schools in the area. Throughout her years of teaching, Brandi has been dedicated to providing her students with a professional level of technique, as well as a passion for the art of dance. Her award-winning choreography has been performed throughout the country by both students of dance and professional dancers.
Brandi is also the adoring and proud mother of two of her own talented kids which she keeps fabulously busy raising with her wonderful husband Kevin.
